Flare Knockout Drums

A Flare Knockout Drum is a vessel located in the flare header. It is used to slow down the gasses to allow for the liquid to be removed from the stream. The flow of the gas is dependent on the size of the drum. For example,  the larger the drum, the slower the gas flows to allow for the liquids like water and oil to be removed. The gas continues up the flare to be released.

FlareTech Inc. designs, sizes and fabricates Flare Knockout Drums of virtually any size and configuration; we have designed and manufactured Flare Knockout Drums from small 2 Barrels (BBL)  to large 600BBL volumes. Our knockouts can be produced complete with fully enclosed heated buildings, partially enclosed heated buildings, heated enclosures between the saddles, or heat traced and insulated.
